  • Booting grub2

Tremendous tool! Recently installed Ubuntu 9,10rc1 and GAG was not able to boot os. Grub2 seemed to install to partition fine. I see where grub2 installs some of its files in /etc. Would be nice to see grub2 support added to this invaluable tool.

  • Icon for MidnightBSD

Could you add an icon for MidnightBSD? Their website is http://www.midnightbsd.org/art/.

  • Comment: Mac: HFS+ partition support

MacOS is often booted, on PC, using the Chameleon bootloader. Is it possible to somehow use GAG to chainload Chameleon, similarly to how GRUB does it? http://chameleon.osx86.hu/ By the way GAG is awesome, and I'd love to keep using it. At the moment, I boot Linux and use GRUB to chainload OSX but booting direct from GAG would be great! Thanks!

  • NTLDR is missing

Hi, I keep getting an NTLDR is missing error when trying to boot into XP via GAG (on floppy). Note that I have not installed GAG onto the HDD yet. My setup is: SATA1: XP SATA2: Windows 7 I installed the Os's separately i.e. I installed XP on SATA1, then removed SATA1 and plugged in SATA2 and installed Windows 7. When i boot normally (without the GAG floppy), it boots into XP by...

  • Boot Timer hides Setup menu (GAG 4.10)

GAG 4.10 bug: When I enable a boot timer (like '5' seconds) and press enter, it doesn't return to the Setup menu. Instead it returns to the Boot menu and the Setup button is no longer there.

  • Followup: RE: "disk error" when trying to save to disk

Commenting on my own previous post, I found the FAQ in the download zip file and had a look. ---Quote On--- When I install GAG 4.0 in my hard disk, I receive a 'Disk error' message, but GAG 2.1 works fine. What's the problem? GAG stores itself in the first track of the hard disk. This track is reserved for this kind of programs. The versions 2.1 and earlier were much smaller and could be...

  • Followup: RE: "disk error" when trying to save to disk

I have EXACTLY the same problem with a MSI L745 notebook. The BIOS SATA mode is in IDE mode. I have just upgraded the 160gb SATA 2.5 inch drive to a 500gb SATA drive. I have restored an image of Windows 7 RC to be Primary #1and an image of Windows XP sp3 as Primary Partition #2. With An extended partition containing one logical partition. (Effectively same as your partition layout....

I just got gag and installed it with win me on a 40 g hdd. parted the disk as this PART 1 : Win me fat 32, PART 2: fat 16 and started install, but cannot continue because gag takes over before rebooting to the install to complete it.
