  • Followup: RE: Solution for data input

There are advantages to use open source software. Of course the program code is accessible to users. The software is usually free and downloadable from the company website. Most companies have a forum to help you on issues and support and maintenance can be given by software companies. Look at programs like Talend Open Studio for your data integration needs. It is an open source program.

Hello, Thank you for helping out on our questions. We are benchmarking a few data integration solutions now, finding most of these tools interesting. We have been looking at open source solutions and are wondering which of the proprietary or open source solutions could be best for us to use. Knowing that our company is growing with an even more important client base. Thank you.

  • Followup: RE: Open source training possibility

Open source is an interesting solution. And support and training can be given when you use an open source solution (such as Exoplatform, Talend ...). When using an open source software, you can get support and training. You can also get some free community support from community forums.

  • Followup: RE: Program to help with Exoplatform

There are a few solutions you can look at to migrate contacts and data. It depends on the type of software you would like to use. You can use proprietary software, which can be expensive compared to open source solutions. You can use software such as Informatica. Or Talend Open Studio which is an open source program. Hope this helped.

  • Followup: RE: Changing to Exoplatform after Outlook

As I hear on the previous post, you are needing to get some customer information to another database. You can try using some software to manage the transfer. What I can recommend is using data integration software such as Talend Open Studio which is free to download. This is the download page for Talend: http://www.talend.com/solutions-data-integration/data-migration.php . So tell us how it...

  • Followup: RE: CSV file and Mysql

Yes. Get your csv files from your database and then upload them. I d recomment using tools such as Datastage or Talend Open Studio (open source). You should not lose your data as both tools are professional tools.
