In the task manager it says : vista drive icon not responding
After uninstalling VDI after works fine. Do not not what is interfering with VDI, since everything worked before with USB and VDI.

After plugin a USB drive which resulted in a drive letter conflict with a network share (windows assigned the same letter to the USB HD and the network share). Now vista drive icon is displaying the capacity bar for this network share. This slows down explorer when I open it because it's a very slow network share (at least I want to discard Vista drive icon as the cause). How can I tweak this so...

I can confirm this, my truecrypt volume and 4 mounted network drives have regular XP icons. It does work for the C: partition however.

1) install eset smart security 4
2) update it
3) and then install vista drive icon 1.4
so problem is solved.

when you encrypt a partition with TrueCrypt and later mount it as a new partition: the symbol doesn't change.
the new icons seem to be for normal partitions only.
btw: should be the same problem as with network drives. it would be great if you could fix that, I like your tool very much.

Found a possible workaround for this. I use customized icons for my card reader drives but my settings were constantly being replaced by DrvIcon. Anyway, to overcome the problem I gave myself full copied the inherited permissions to the relevant registry keys in the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons
I then deleted all users from...

1) Please add XP64bit support
2) Please add Vista32 & Vista64 support. I like this one because its smaller and looks better. Vista only displays the bars in TILE view, which is big and bulky.
