PLEASE PROVIDE FEEDBACK

Version 0.8 (Previous versions broke in Ubuntu around 12.04)

DisPlex (indicator-displex) provides an AppIndicator that provides access to graphics card configuration settings and basic access to Disper. Key Features:
[] Screen Rotation Settings
[] Disper Support
[] Force Kill of GUI Windows (xkill)
[] AcerHK Radio Interface (Wifi / BT) with persistent state between uses.
[] Show/Hide Desktop Icons
[] Activate / Deactivate Screen Saver
[] Desktop, Appearance, and Compiz Settings
[] GTK3 required
[] Python > 2.5 || Python < 3.0
[] Writen for Ubuntu; however, may work in other desktop environments (AppIndicator3 required).

KNOWN BUG: When desktop icons are off, Meta Key does not open Ubuntu Dash.

NOTE: This version removes support for Compiz, Emerald, and MetaCity Compositing due to the many changes in Ubuntu since this program was creaed.

Depending on requests, I may add support for Compiz force restart if requested.

Features

  • Screen Rotation Settings and Displays information
  • Disper Support
  • Force Kill of GUI Windows (xkill)
  • AcerHK Radio Interface (Wifi / BT) with persistent state between uses.
