DDOS Perl is a denial of service attack handling script in Perl, like DDOS Deflate but with key differences. Can run at sub 1 minute intervals Banned IPs can be blocked for an increasing time Allowed IPs aren't stored in the same file as banned IPs

- Simple Perl script to identify DOS attacks
- Offending IPs are automatically banned
- Banning using either APF or IPTables
- Bans can escalate for longer periods of time based on a schedule
- Receive E-mail notifications of banned IPs
- Rotating log file created of activity
- Various levels of debugging to see what's going on
- Run in testmode to see what it would do
- After a ban is removed, a reoffending IP will go back to the previous ban level
- Keeps a history of banned IPs in case of reboot + resumes fine
