CryptoTraderVM Files

Welcome to my TradingBotVM.

I'll try to make everything as smooth as possible so here is a bit of handy info about this virtual machine.

Before you start you should install the latest Oracle VirtualBox. When Virtualbox is installed you can import the ova image. To get the ova file you need to extract the downloaded file with 7Zip first. The password of the 7zip archive is set to "cryptrade".

After u have successfully imported the image, you can adjust the ram size if you like, by default it has 2Gb dedicated but you could easily change that to 512Mb.

When everything is setup for the virtual machine, you can start it. The system wil automatically login to the cryptrade user, the password for this user is also set to cryptrade. To make your system secure, i strongly advise to change the password right away, the root user is disabled by default so don't worry about that. When your user is setup, open "/home/cryptrade/bot/keys.cson" and setup your required api keys then reboot to start trading. By default, it will trade on cex.io ghs_btc 1m with ema_2_9.

1.) The system is setup so that it starts as a service: the service file is located at "/etc/int/cryptrade.conf"

2.) To change the bot configuration, all you neet to do is invoke the botconfig command. Example: sudo botconfig cexio_ghs_btc_1m ema_2_9 This example will use the chart configuration file called "cexio_ghs_btc_1m.cson" and the strategy file "ema_2_9.coffee". Note that we did not have specified a file extension in the botconfig command. When the changes are applied to "/etc/int/cryptrade.conf", the system will automatically reboot and continue trading with the newly applied settings.

3.) The chart configuration files are all inside the "/home/cryptrade/bot/configs" folder. If a required configuration is not found, simply copy an existing one and adjust to the correct settings.

4.) The strategy files can be found inside the "/home/cryptrade/bot/strategy" folder. A couple other strategy examples can be found inside the "/home/cryptrade/bot/examples" folder.
