Algorithm seems to be pretty limited (truncation only), failed to recover document, installer had crapware and mojibake, and the program runs with advertis****ts and "try paid software". Bizarrely, author seems to also have several projects on sourceforge that are attempts at essentially the same thing. If you need to recover a document, you are far better off trying to see what LibreOffice can do for you.
