Optional JACK support as an output plugin would be nice...

I just posted a patch on mailing list to sort by file date (sort key "filedate").

Hi, i wish to build your player under windows with msys+mingw. I've got many of the packages needed by cmus (i've built pdcurses instead of ncurses) and i see i can setup configure with either CONFIG_WAVEOUT or latest libao (CONFIG_AO) which supports audio output under windows, so i feel close to my target.
But your configure script is a bit complex to me.
It checks twice for faad.h, why?...

Number one problem I've been having, is that I have 90 days of music to shuffle though, but there are particular songs I like. If I play song "A", then *random* song "B" plays next, and *random* song Z if I hit prev. Now, a day or two goes by, and I play song "A" or song "Z". The past 2 days of music now play again, since the shuffle list doesn't change. I recommend one of the following:

File Added: NewCommand_win-delete.patch.

Adds a win-delete command. This command will delete the file from the disk in views 1-4 (instead of win-remove; which removes the file from the list). In view 5 (browser view) it will duplicate win-remove behaviour.
To apply the patch, get to root dir of project, and type: "patch -p1 < NewCommand_win-delete.patch". Then just do a "./configure && make && sudo make install".
It's almost...

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've got a
playlist full of URL's of individual songs which I'm
streaming from a remote web server, and after each
individual track, I get "Error: lost connection" in the
status line at the bottom of cmus. I then have to
manually proceed to the next track even though continue
is set to true.
Is it the desired behavior not to move to the next...

It would be nice to filter the files by age e.g. show
all podcats dowloaded within last 24 hours.

This app works really well as a music file player. In
my opinion, the only thing really missing from it is
the ability to play CDs as well. The filters function
would come in really handy if it could be applied to cd
tracks (via CDDA files) as well as mp3, ogg, etc. files
on the hard disk. I would not be opposed to helping out
with this, but don't know much about sound programming

It will be cool, if cmus supports DAAP (Digital Audio
Access Protocol).
That would enable us to access music files over the
network from another PC.
For example by using the C libary libopendaap .
More information about DAAP:
