It seems, that org.apache.xerces plugin was a
part of Eclipse 2.0 but it is no more shipped with Eclipse 3.0.1.
In Eclipse 3.0.1 the Web Application Plugin 2.0.0 neither can
be installed through Eclipse update nor can run if you install it
manually.
I have found the files for the xerces plugin (see below).
Installing them does not solve the update...

Sorry, attachment failed. The sourceforge refused to upload
the file, because it was greater than 256000 bytes in length.
Visit the given link to http://dev.eclipse.org/ ... to download
the files by yourselves.
The files that are required are:
about.htm
plugin.properties
plugin.xml
xercesImpl.jar
xmlParserAPIs.jar.

The attached file is a workaround for bug #1105525
(https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?
func=detail&aid=1105525&group_id=68494&atid=521371)
The problem is that org.apache.xerces plugin that was a
part of Eclipse 2.0 is no more shipped with Eclipse 3.0.1.
I found the required files at
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/indextech.cgi/org.eclipse.
cme/contributions/org.apache.xerces/.

complete failure
Using the Eclipse update fails because it requires
org.apache.xerces for this plugin.
Needs repair or published workaround.

I have used the "Internal Tomcat" version of this plug-in
for months with no trouble and like it.
However, recemtly I tried to use it with the "External
Tomcat" server and have run into a problem: when
Tomcat starts, the jasper complier throws an
exception:, specifically:
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile
class for JSP
An error occurred at line: -1 in the...

Hi!
Is this project still in development? Any active members here? There are no releases/udates in the last 6 months and the open bugs are still unassigned.
I'll try to spent some time to solve some of this bugs (at least the classpath problem). How can i get write access to the CVS?
Michael.

I got the same problem yesterday. The problem comes after I
have exported javadoc in folder /doc. Later I have removed
this folder and the problem disappears. I will try to reproduce
the problem and get some more information at home in the
evening when I have time.
Thanks for this plug-in guys, its a perfect!
