I have tried using avc2avi to turn an h264 stream from an .mkv into an .avi. Everything is fine, except the resolution... Allthough avc2avi tells me the resolution is 720x480, when playing it in Media Player Classic (as well as Windows Media Player) it's wider than the original mkv video (and thus wider than 720x480). For some unknown reason the video is stretched...
