How about an update for that lack of multi-threading

It would be great if there was a function for on the
fly encryption, such as blowfish, or any other higher
level encrytion algorythumn. Good for storing say,
personal information like credit numbers...

Would you like to apply the advices from the article
"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Const_correctness" to
your sources?
I suggest to add the key word "const" to the type
specifiers for parameters like the following.
