I’m getting ready to go into production with a grid of approximately 100 dual core Executors. I'm running the 1.0.6 code and both the Manager and Executors are running as services. The most cores I’ve ever had connected to a single Grid Manger prior to this is about 60. I’m looking for advice on how capable the Manager needs to be; number of cpu’s, Gigs of memory... I think the answer is yos. Once running inside of an alchemi thread you can do anything that can be done. Post more detail if you have a specific question.

Verify your configuration files. If you're running the manager service make sure that both of the Alchemi.Manager.config.xml files are correct. There is one in the program files folder and one in the documents and settings folder. Somewhere like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Alchemi_user\Application Data\Alchemi\Manager\Alchemi.Manager.config.xml.

Hello.
I've started using Alchemi a couple of days ago and have come to a standstill.
All worked fine until yesterday when suddenly from nowhere it starting acting strange.
Though Gapplication. Start is called Threads do not start.
I used the ThreadLogger and the constructor gets called but not the Start method of each GThread.
This happens with examples that should work, no...

(Note: I personally have not used Alchemi on Vista.
MSIs are notoriously difficult to debug exactly what isn't working. Technically they can be debugged, but not easily.)
Have you tried downloading and building from source?

There are no longer any database requirements to get a basic Alchemi...

During installation of manager on 32-bit Vista following error statement pops in a message box:
"There is a problem with this Window installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact .... vendor"
I think that this occurs when it need to install database support (may be)
