1. an zimbra installation
2. evolution
3. the connector
I successfully build the connector against evolution 2.12.1 on a gentoo system but there may be some trouble because of missing header files. Have a look at this post at the zimbra forums [http://tinyurl.com/2pqy5z] (especially the copied header files). The modification of the configure.ac file is no longer needed since svn was updated a week ago. If you use a system with binary packages (such as SuSE, Debian, ...) you have to install the packages with the header files for evolution too.
To get the source just go into the directory where the sources should be located and get the sources by svn:
Hello together!
I would really like to test / use this connector....
Could you please give some comments on how to use it? What do I "need"?
Regards,
Mario
Hi Mario,
I think there are at least 3 things you need:
1. an zimbra installation
2. evolution
3. the connector
To get the source just go into the directory where the sources should be located and get the sources by svn:
svn co https://zimbraevo.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/zimbraevo zimbraevo
then go into the direcotry zimbraevo/trunk and type:
sh bootstrap.sh
this will generate the make files. If there were any missing files please check if all source or header packages are installed.
When bootstrap.sh finishes without any errors you should
make
and (as su)
make install
After all restart evolution and create a new account with "zimbra" as server type. Then you will see a new calendar and a new contact list ...
