I just installed zbar via homebrew on OS X 10.8.3, macbook air 64 bit, then installed it into python via pip install zbar. Whenever I try importing zbar in python, it segfaults ("segmentation fault: 11").
I have the same issue - installed zbar w/ homebrew and then pip. I also tried removing both, modifying the homebrew formula to include python, and then re-installing through homebrew.
