Only weapons are equippable so far - I haven't done general equipment yet
To equip weapons you need to:
Give your eidolon arms.
Then in the attack evolution section, select Weapons in the Arms slot.
Dropdowns should appear to the right where you can select weapons from the equipment page.

This is something I would like to get around to. It involves some restructuring of the Eidolon backend so unfortunately it won't be quick.
A shorter-term workaround would be to add more options to the Eidolon user modifiers. AC and attack rolls seem like the most obvious - are there any others?

In release 8.24 I'm not bale to assign equipment to the eidolon.

Will I be able to equip Rings and other wondrous items on my Eidolon in the near future?

Stats. Belts and such.
You can work around this for now by using the ability modifiers boxes on the right of the Eidolon page.
