#453 Sending problems and Duplicate email download

I installed YPOPS 0.8.8 on my PC Windows XP last night. I use Yahoo Mail (yahoo.co.uk) regular, not the "plus" version, so understand this can not be pop & smtp directly.

So I downloaded YPOPs to overcome this problem. After many hours trying I have found two problems, which I would appreciate feedback on.

1) The updating of the inbox / sending is extremely slow. I have a broadband connection, so I don't understand. The downloading times out, even with the server time set to 10 mins. I took 5 goes to send a single message, containg one line of text to a single person - no attachment, no embeded images etc. This was using 127.0.0.1 as requested. Sometimes it would time out before completing.

2) When send / receive did work, it appears to download all the emails - up to the specified limit. It will not just download the new emails. So I now have duplicate and triplicate in my inbox - which is frustrating.

I have read through this site (v impressive btw) and think this is not the only reported instance of this problem.

I ultimately want ot sync to a dell x51v which will interface with Outlook. However, I cannot do this whilst I cannot get this YPOPs working propoerly.

Given I can OCCASSIONALLY send and receive I don't think I have fundamentally go the installation wrong.
