Mac OS 10.1 has re-enabled the Cmd-Shift-4 (and
3) screen capture shortcuts. I tried Cmd-Shift-4
while running rooted. The cross hair cursor
appeared and I could drag a rectangle (although
the rectangle was not drawn as it was under
Aqua). After dragging the rectangle and releasing
the mouse button, the screen capture was taken
correctly, but from that point on I could not work
with any of my X clients. Cmd-Option-a still
worked, so I switched back to Aqua and quit
XDarwin from the menu.
I was using Xfree86 version 4.1.
This would be a nice feature to have if it were
workable. eXodus (a pay-for Mac X server) has this
feature that comes in handy every now and then.
I've noticed no other problems running rooted
under OS 10.1 (once I switched to reading the
keymap from a file). Keep up the great work!!

I just tried doing Cmd-Shift-4 (screen capture) under Mac OS 10.2.1 with
Xfree86 4.2.0.1 for 10.2. This time I was running rootless. If the screen
capture is of XDarwin windows, XDarwin "hangs" - can no longer move
windows around.
