The windows installer tries to install in the C:\Program Files directory, but it can not run from that directory (screenshots 1 and 2 attached). If you change manually the destination location to C:\Program Files (X86) directory, it works OK.
By the way, if some documents were open in the previous version of XML Copy Editor, after installing the new version, another error message is shown when xce starts (screenshot 3 attached). Closing the documents tabs solves this problem.
Tested in Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bits.

    The dialog, which complains about invalid paths, pops up because the installation path changed. The workaround is setting the application directory correctly after installation. Click Tools menu, then Options menu, a dialog will pop up. Change the application directory to where XML Copy Editor is installed.

    The second was a crash unfortunately. It should be fixed by [cb2c31].

    Only the second problem is fixed.

    To fix the first one, I believe that the data directory should be detected automatically. I was wondering if the data directory option should be removed.
