I noticed that the Alsa port on XLDS is hardcoded to "plughw:0,0". I'd like to use my Sound Blaster USB 24-bit sound card (which is at "plughw:2,0"). What's the best way to do this? Should I just change it in the source and recompile, or is there a slick way to do this with ~/.asoundrc ? BTW, I highly recommend the Sound Blaster USB 24-bit external card : http://www.soundblaster.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=206&product=10702 . It has 2 channels in and 6 channels out, 96 KHz sample rate and 24 bits per sample... all for $50! |
