In the attached minimum non working example, xelatex hides text from the second beamer slide when \setbeameroption{show notes on second screen} is used.
Tested with XeTeX 3.14159265-2.6-0.99991 (TeX Live 2014/Arch Linux)
I am not able to reproduce the problem with any version of XeTeX: the text of the slide is present on both pages. I do, however, observe another problem: the “second screens”, as Beamer calls them, are absent from all the slides. Is that what you mean?

That is weird. You should be able to see the "second screens" with the pgfpages package (please double-check that the package is present in your setup).
The reason you see the text properly on the second slide is the absence of the "second screens". It only disappears when they are present. I am attaching the resulting pdf from xelatex mnwe.tex on my system.

Thanks!
