In windows xchat 2.0.1p1, the default font is set to be
monospace 10. This font doesn't exist in windows, and
therefore the program crashes when selecting browse for
new font.. The temp fix is just simply to erase
monospace 10 from the font box, and go to browse. I
wanted to try out the new bitstream vera fonts ;)
I'm normally a linux user anyway, and I worked out a
quick fix so this didn't affect me much.
I wish more ppl did use xchat in windows though instead
of mirc cause then there would be less IRC based
viruses, and Xchat 2.* really does 0wn over mirc now. I
think the reason that Xchat isn't really taking off in
windows is the lack of plugins (even though the plugin
interface is way better then Windows).. and the lack of
fstream or Xdcc plugins, maybe u should promote a
Xchat plugin coding session or something.. Just a
thought.

monospace is a fail-safe default that is garanteed to exist.
It worked in windows just fine when I tested it.
