As per request from the mailing list

Is it possible to have site.consoleondemand=yes for most nodes, but for
a few have the console permanently connected? I like the idea of having
some of the consoles be connected all of the time due to the console
logging in /var/log/consoles. I don't want to have to have a screen
session always open for those consoles though just to get this behavior.

Below is my first attempt at adding the feature

    This makes sense, you add a consoleondemand attribute to the nodehm table. That consoleondemand overrides the site consoleondemand for each node if set.

    This sounds good. I do want to send the design to the hardware control developers who are on Chinese New Year Holiday until Feb 10.

    Are we wanting the same feature in 2.8, leave this for 2.9, as I have a customer requirement for this, on which the cluster will start building very soon, which I have started implementing 2.8.3
