Write a WDM driver for it

Hi,
It seems WinLIRC is performing very badly due to the
fact that it runs in user-mode.
Even if it runs ok when learning, you still got
problems while playing divX, DVD and even MP3
Offcourse one could tweak it a little bit by
adjusting the priority and/or eps value of winLIRC
but this doesn't really solves the problem.
To get WinLIRC to run perfectly we need to have a
WDM driver for it which handles all the IR decoding
stuff. This the decoding part would run in kernel
mode just like LIRC.

Guess it should be a special COM port driver, that will override
standard one ?
BTW it is interest what will be on VIA based motherboards if to
enable SIR and set COM2 to turbo mode - will there be smth
like FIR ? :-D
