Need to create an installation package for easier distribution. Package would include all binary files, and create the appropriate shortcuts.
I don't see the point. This is way easier to distribute because it does not even needs to be installed!

Is there a reason not to have both? Some people want an installer, some like a simple zip file. Not hard to maintain both.
Sure, both is an option.
This is in the git tree. Just a matter of pushing a release (soon).
