It would be really cool to be able to flash an ISO to a USB stick and boot. The speedup would be much faster, and it would benefit a lot of systems that don't have cd/dvd access. This is currently possible for Ubuntu desktop images, as they are hybrid images. The code to generate this feature is open source and part of the syslinux tool. An added feature would be to see if this will also work with non-Linux iso images (Windows, etc).

    More and more hybrid images are being created, reducing the need for any specialized work. Ubuntu and CentOS ISO's can be written to USB drives and work without any additional steps. For images that would require specialized handling, it is easier to just point to a utility like Universal USB Installer.

    This is going to be marked as a very low priority.
