Your Wiimote as MIDI drum: The Wiinstrument 0.2 released

The Wiinstrument 0.2 is released for MacOS X. The application's main aim is to use a Wii remote as percussion instrument (with MIDI or Audio output) and mapping button clicks to MIDI note instructions. The new version features a nicer UI, mapping your remote's tilt angles to MIDI controllers and a little sampler for instant drumming pleasure. Linux and Windows ports are in development, but releases are expected soon.

First Version of The Wiinstrument (v0.1) Released!

The Wiinstrument makes it possible to use your Nintendo Wii remote and Nunchuk controller as a MIDI instrument: It includes a percussion mode in which you can use the remote controllers like drum sticks to trigger MIDI notes (with velocity recognition), and a keyboard mode where button presses are directly mapped to MIDI notes.
