#1 webcam_server through a proxy rewrite

I have kind of a strange setup, I have a sun box that runs
my web server at home, and i have my webcam set up
on my linux box. I set up a web server on the linux box,
and installed and ran the webcam_server application. If I
go directly to the linux box webcam I see it and
everything works just find. If I try to proxy rewrite from
the solaris apache to the linux apache, all I get is the
connecting screen. I am assuming this has to do with
the applet?

Any ideas? ever seen this before?
