Using default theme. I used the Webmin Partition Manager to create a new partition and now I don't see an entry for Virtual memory in the System Information display. Could I have hosed the swap file or done some other damage? I couldn't find any reference to this problem in previous messages.

Hard to guess. The collected information could be incorrect, or maybe you did break something.
You can look at "top" to see if you have swap active (it's the Swap: field near the top of the page).
