I'm using Operating system CentOS Linux 6.5 and Webmin version 1.690. The Networking Linux Firewall module shows all the correct settings and when I click Apply Configuration they all work correctly. However, I have a cron job set to backup weekly at 11pm (0 23 * * 6 /cron/job/backupscript.sh). The connection is blocked until I once again Apply Configuration on the firewall and then it all runs. I have added a line to the crontab to restart the firewall before running my backup and this doesn't seem to help either. What am I missing?

restart the firewall AFTER running my backup? might work
not really a webmin issue.
