Webmin will only update installed.cache if modules are NOT installed using the link provided by un used modules.
you will have to manually edit installed.cache to 1 for the module you installed.
Have you tried clicking on the 'Refresh Modules' link on the left menu (in the blue framed theme)? It will clear and re-check the cache of apps that are installed ..
