Installed fresh copy of CentOS 4.1 for 32bit x86... Then I installed Webmin. Instead of CentOS 4 being detected, Generic Linux 2.6 was detected. I uninstalled, downloaded 1.230 and it detected CentOS 4.1 correctly as CentOS 4.

This is a known bug in Webmin 1.240. The work-around is to copy /etc/redhat-release to /etc/centos-release before installing 1.240..

CentOS 3.6 is same problem
