whoops? SVGA was added way back in 2002, so normal "vpa /s"
is quite safe.

If you're referring to VPAMM, I think it is safe, too. The
current CVS version also no longer has rounding errors, so
it should be safe. A fresh binary (status: two days ago) is
on http://www.inf.tu-dresden.de/~sr21/vpa
(*not* an official release!)
