I'm writing this regarding a problem I face everytime i try to open a .mp4 file on VSS.
I'm not getting the full wave display. Any idea how will it be fixed?

If you are unser Windows 7, you're probably using the default windows codec for audio decoding.
This codec is limited for third party application.
You need to change the codec used by VSS by using Win7DSFilterTweaker :

As Christophe said, using that tool go to "MS Codec Tweaks" and disable all four Microsoft DTV-DVD decoders. This is neccesary because they have highest priority.
Then, VSS will prefer the decoder you have assigned.
