Not quite satisfied with Vimprobable? These fine browsers might be of interest:

  • Conkeror: Uses Emacs style keychains; based on Mozilla's XULrunner and the Gecko rendering engine.
  • dwb: Implements tiling into the browser; shares many keyboard shortcuts with Vim/Vimprobable, but lacks ex-mode.
  • jumanji: Shares many features of Vimprobable, lacks some of the more advanced ones, but offers others which Vimprobable does not (e.g. integrated tabs). Uses some of Vimprobable's code, too.
  • surf: A browser by the suckless project whose goal it is to be even more minimal than Vimprobable.
  • uzbl: Highly extensible browser which only offers core functionality (displaying pages) and has hooks for external scripts to extend it. Many example scripts (e.g. for bookmarks or form value saving) exist. It can even be used as a modal browser.
  • xxxterm: Small browser with a basic vim-like command mode, but also more 'traditional' mouse-controlled widgets.
  • Pentadactyl: Fork of Vimperator by some of its core developers.
  • vimb: Very similar to vimprobable but a little more configurable and new written from the scratch.
