hi there!
here's the game (shareware):
http://www.eliteclub.co.uk/download/
the problem is, that in ADLIB mode everything sounds
fine and perfect EXCEPT the spacecrafts thrusters noise
is very very crappy. it should be a tight fizzling noise but
its a hacking noise which is really annoying over the
time.
i tried several options but nothing worked.
maybe its a point to work out for the next releases?
U GUYS MAKE PERFECT WORK! KEEP ON IT!

ps.: for testing this issue just start the game, break the
intro (ESC) choose option 1, press the takeoff button,
press enter for setting the speed and wait until thrusters
are at full power (some seconds).

I can not reproduce the problem with VDMSound 2.1.0 beta and
Windows XP Home - or perhaps I do not understand exactly
what to do. E.g. I press ESC to about the intro, but where
is that take-off button??? At one point I think I got the
ship moving and it was streaking across the planet surface
... and then it blew up into pieces!

the take off button is the one on the right with the '7' on it.
updated testing procedure:
for testing this issue just start the game, choose adlib-sound
(2), break the intro (ESC) choose option 1, press the takeoff
button or F7, hold enter pressed for setting the speed and
wait until thrusters are at full power (some seconds).
