I am trying to run Blake Stone Aliens of Gold dos game. I can run Blake Stone without VDMSound (then I have no sound). and the command line exture "/powerball" works. Or run VDMSound (then I have sound) but the exture command line "/powerball" doesn't work. The command line is:
"E:\games\dos-games\BSTONE\BS_AOG.EXE" powerball
Can someone please tell me why the command line word "powerball" won't work with VDMS?
Steve

Are you an ex-DOS user like me?
If yes, you won't have many difficulties with DOSBox.
If not, in any case you have to learn how dosbox works. It's a must for retrogamers! :-)
Specifically for this game, put it on your root directory, let's say at C:\BD and take a look at these screenshots:
I don't like very much the front-ends, but you can find some at dosbox.sf.net (at download page).
For similar (open source) projects, take a look also at ScummVM (for adventures) and OpenBor (Lavalit) for fightings.
Although I'm somewhat overloaded with other open source projects these days, you can mail me anytime you want, if you ever need something. Eg. some help with retrogaming.

On the other hand, in dosbox runs like a dream.
Consider also to post at vogons (at vdms section):

This forum seems like isn't any more the official one.
I haven't figured out how to use dosbox anyways

Does this steps solved the problem?
