IEEE 1532 defines standardized methods and data formats for in system configuration of programmable devices. Having such support in UrJTAG would broaden the use of this tool for all kinds of FPGAs, CPLDs, uCs etc.
Since 1532 builds on the BSDL file format, the embedded BSDL parser could be expanded to extract ISC information from 1532 device files. This information would then be used by a separate ISC/ISP module which write the configuration data to the device as specified in the 1532 device description.

This enhancement is considered with low priority because UrJTAG already contains a vendor independent way to configure programmable devices with the SVF player.
