zsh crashes with a long command line

Hi,
I downloaded the version of zsh from: http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/UnxUtils.zip
The shell crashes when invoked by the "make". The "make" often executes the shell as sh.exe -c "makefile command" (e.g. any makefile command with double quotes will cause to the shell invocation).
If the makefile command is about 940 chars long, (e.g. gcc call with many include paths or linker call with many library paths and objects), the shell will crash.
Note that the newer version of the shell from the updates package has no such problem. I got it from here: http://unxutils.sourceforge.net/UnxUpdates.zip
Thought the newer version has other issue, it crashes in Windows Vista Business.
I solved this problem using xargs
