Bugs item #3556169, was opened at 2012-08-10 13:12 Message generated for change (Settings changed) made by mihailm You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1020696&aid=3556169&group_id=212173 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Windows Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 3 Private: No Submitted By: Spike McLarty (spike0xff) >Assigned to: MSM (mihailm) Summary: twain.h is missing from .zip Initial Comment: In VS2008, both projects in the solution depend on twain.h - TWAIN_APP_CMD lists it explicitly as a Header File, TWAIN_App_mfc just includes it with #include. Neither project will build without it. I guess I'm assuming that this thing should just build out of the box. Why not? If you add twain.h to the Common folder, it takes care of this problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1020696&aid=3556169&group_id=212173 |

Bugs item #3432172, was opened at 2011-11-02 10:15 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by michalzaganczyk You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1020696&aid=3432172&group_id=212173 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Windows Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Michał Zagańczyk (michalzaganczyk) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Native transfer DIB handle doesn't respect GlobalLock call Initial Comment: It seems that the DIB allocated by the sample data source in native transfer mode is allocated with GPTR flag. The result is that the DIB lock count returned by GlobalFlags(hDIB) is always 0, regardless of GlobalLock(hDIB) calls. GPTR flag is a combination of GMEM_FIXED and GMEM_ZEROINIT. This makes the GlobalLock calls is pointless on the DIB handle, because for memory allocated with these flags, GlobalFlags function always returns 0, what makes lock count checking impossible. This can lead to errors in software which relies on tracking of the DIB's lock count (ie. the asynchronous DIB processing in other thread). I think the bug is here (src/DSMInterface.cpp, lines 215-230): ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // The following functions are defined in the DSM2, // For backwards compatibiltiy on windows call the default function TW_HANDLE _DSM_Alloc(TW_UINT32 _size) { if(g_DSM_Entry.DSM_MemAllocate) { return g_DSM_Entry.DSM_MemAllocate(_size); } #ifdef TWH_CMP_MSC return ::GlobalAlloc(GPTR, _size); /* ========== GPTR IS SET HERE ========== */ #endif return 0; } ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1020696&aid=3432172&group_id=212173 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nik medved (brainsucker) Assigned to: fharju (fharju) Summary: DS sample DPI/resampling bug Initial Comment: Function FreeImage_ConvertTo24Bits resets DPI of dib to some constant value (indepndent of source image DPI), like 72 for me (current GDI device (monitor) resolution?). Noticed that during extending sample ds to provide arbitary images (thru OpenFileDialog), and getting very long resampling times (for 300 dpi from 2000x3000 -> 8000x1000 is a big piece of work). solved easily by moving GetDotsPerMeterX/Y (together with new size calculations, anyway they are independent of DPI) before Convert call. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Rich Taylor (rtaylor187) Date: 2011-06-07 16:55 Message: Found this (the hard way...) - FreeImage_ConvertTo24Bits resolution handling appears to be fixed in FreeImage v3.15.0 (though there is no mention in the FI change log) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nik medved (brainsucker) Date: 2009-02-08 11:48 Message: and, by the way, these resize calculations (to follow DPI settings) are affected by awesome rounding error: WORD unNewWidth = WORD(m_nSourceWidth /(WORD)((float)res/39.37 + 0.5)* m_fXResolution); (WORD)((float)res/39.37 + 0.5) gets the original DPI as integer (word) number, so we divide original resolution (integer) by DPI (integer) and in worse case we can get up to round("original DPI") error in size calculation. I'm not sure, if this by design or not, but looks strange ;) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=1020696&aid=2580033&group_id=212173 |
