I just installed TuxPaint in Windows XP SP3. All the options, like Colur, Tools, print, Brushes, have a strange unknown character as the starting or fisrt letter of all the options. Please refer to the attached screenshot of the program to understand it better.

Wow, very strange. Is this 0.9.21c from the Tux Paint website / files hosted here on SourceForge? (i.e., the official build)

What locale is your Windows system configured for? Is your system running a 32- or 64-bit OS?

Yes its "tuxpaint-0.9.21c-win32-installer-opencandy" from this website only. My system is Windows XP SP3, 32-bit OS. Please find attached the screenshot for the Regional Setting of my PC.

Wow, that's an interesting one. An apparently common configuration, but messed up font rendering, very odd.

Does this issue still occur if you upgrade to Tux Paint 0.9.22 (2014.08.24) http://tuxpaint.org/download/windows/ ? Thanks!

No word back, and 0.9.23 is now out. Haven't seen similar reports, so going to close this.
