When I move the mouse across the TuxGuitar screen, blocks of the screen get painted randomly. See attached screen shot.

Have this issue too, confirmed!
You seem to have CSS turned off. Please don't fill out this field.
++ confirmed with nvidia but see it's affecting other graphics cards as well
This happens with the latest SWT versión, SVN version of tuxguitar fixes this problem.
On tuxguitar 1.2 you can swap the score edition mode to "Selection Mode" at the Edit menu.
