Unfortunately, this is necessary for two reasons. First, if
the files don't exist on the user's system, they will need
to be created. Second, old config files are sometimes not
compatible with new versions of Turbo Pad, since options may
have been added, removed or changed. Basically, if old
config files were used with a newer version, they might
cause errors and bugs.
Would it be helpful if I wrote a script to copy the old
settings to the new config files so you don't have to do it
by hand?
