Running standard RedHat 7.1 packages the tulip driver
was causing the system to hang when resuming after "apm
-s".

Added rmmod to suspend section of apmscript and ensured
NET_RESTART was set in /etc/sysconfig/apmd and
everything works now. However it would be nice to be
able to suspend/resume without restarting the network.

Heh, I was having similar problems - until I examined
redhat's scripts. If you disable's redhat's scripts for
"resetting" and such of the network interface for apmd, then
the tulip device works just fine. It's redhat's fault - not
the tulip driver. (well, I am using a newer kernel then
comes with RH 7.1, but I had the same problem until I
commented out those few lines in the apmd's scripts).
