No option to turn off auto-reconnect

Older versions had no facility to automatically reconnect if a session did not end correctly. However now that such functionality is present, there is no way to turn it off. It is not always the case that we desire to reconnect to a session that ended in error automatically.
Suggest another check box on the final page of options in the GUI.
This also affects connections terminated "correctly" via logoff (from remote Windows servers). It doesn't recognize a proper logoff, and acts like the connection crashed.
Looks like this auto-reconnect is making some Ubuntu users rather unhappy:
