I am running tripwire in Integrity Checking Mode. When the check is complete, I receive the following error:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Section: Unix File System -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. File system error. Filename: /var/ldap/cachemgr.log Value too large for defined data type
I checked the size of the above file and it is over 2 gig:
$ du -sk /var/ldap/cachemgr.log 2098192 /var/ldap/cachemgr.log
I have looked through the documentation and haven't found a solution.
I am running tripwire 2.4.1.2 on Solaris 10 x86.
the compiler I used was gcc 3.4.3.
Any ideas what I need to do to fix this?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks and regards,
Ron
Hello,
I believe this might be a problem with Solaris itself. I have been using tripwire mostly on Linux systems and it works fine with larger files.
Cheers, Steph
