yes, i had problems with the new ISO, too but not with
the dhcpd.
with my laptop (HP Omnibook 4150 and a 3Com NIC) the
ISO-trinux hangs on
early start (after decompressing the kernel - i think
during hardware
detect). the pcmcia floppy works fine.

    The problem is that mount -t vfat /dev/fd0 is hanging (for
    several minutes) when there is no floppy drive present.
    There seems to be no way of detecting the presence/absence
    of a floppy drive via kernel messages or through /proc so
    the best solution is to add a laptop or nofloppy argument to
    syslinux.cfg
