Whenever i start TPFANCONROL on my T43 I am seeing
ACPIEC event records being generated about every 2
seconds. Not sure if it is a problem with my BIOS
settings (or the BIOS itsself).

I am experiencing the same thing on a T40. The messages appear anywhere from ten times a second to once every 5 seconds but they stop after 10 min. Thanks for the hard work on this util

\Device\ACPIEC: The embedded controller (EC) hardware returned data when none was requested. This may indicate that the BIOS is incorectly trying to access the EC without syncronizing with the OS. The data is being ignored.

The know 'solution' to this problem is replacing the acpiec.sys with acpiecnl.sys - which is the same but suppresses this event logging.
So search the web for 'acpiecnl.sys registry' and you should find it topmost.
Copy the diver to windows\system32\drivers and run the reg file to disable those event loggings.

I have seen this as well showing up in the event logs. It causes such a lag that I can't watch movies or anything w/ fan control running.

Is this still valid for 0.20?
Since the default update intervall is 5 seconds tpfancontrol might not be the cause.
What happens if you use a huge update intervall for tpfancontrol? Like
Cycle=60
or
Cycle=120
