#90 Game crashes on windows 98

I downloaded and installed the latest version of TORCS. However, whenever I choose a race, whatever I do in the options (changing resolution, etc), the game crashes. So I can run the game, but cannot initiate a race. I am running a Pentium III-800 with 128-MB SDRAM with Windows 98. What should I do?

Ask in the mailing lists, this is the wrong place. Anyway, try:
- Switch to plib backend.
- Make sure you have the latest OpenGL drivers (which card/driver do you have, if you ask in the list again).
- Make sure that you have the latest sound drivers.
- Try to run windowed.
- Switch you desktop color depth to 32 bit.
