togl returns an assertion error only when Dell version of
the NVIDIA TNT2 video card is set at resolutions greater
than 640x480 and colors are greater than 8bit.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've had the same problem and managed to solve it by
upgrading to the latest detonator drivers.
